Stanley Consultants Names Hirl Industrial Market Leader
MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota - Pat Hirl, P.E., Ph.D., has been named Stanley Consultants’ Industrial Market Leader. In this new role, he will develop strategies to enhance the company’s continuing growth in the industrial market. He plans to push beyond Stanley Consultants’ core strengths in the design of industrial facilities to provide industry with innovative engineering solutions in immerging areas, such as the conversion of waste to energy. Dr. Hirl wants to supply industry with engineering services that support their growth and sustainable operations.
Developing new processes for renewable energy is one of Dr. Hirl’s passions. He is working with several agri-industry clients to develop renewable energy projects using anaerobic treatment to convert high strength wastewater streams to usable energy. He is also working with industrial clients to achieve more sustainable operations through solid waste reduction and recovery, water reuse, and conversion of byproducts and waste products to usable energy.
Located in the company’s Minneapolis office, Dr. Hirl is also the company’s principal process engineer and manages the Industrial Process Engineering Group. He has 15 years of experience in power generation, and industrial water and wastewater treatment. He is a licensed professional engineer and has a bachelors degree in civil engineering and a doctorate in environmental engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
